What does the internet feel like when you’ve never known a world without it?
DELULU began as a creative experiment inspired by a simple observation: a 12-year-old speaking almost entirely in internet slang.
“Delulu.” “Rizz.” “Aura.” “Slay.”
What initially sounded like random words soon revealed something deeper. Gen Alpha isn’t just consuming content differently. They’re developing an entirely new language shaped by memes, gaming, reels, emojis, notifications, AI imagery, and algorithm-driven feeds.
DELULU explores this phenomenon through a short-form music and visual project that reimagines internet culture through an Indian lens-where Hindi, English, meme culture, street culture, and digital “brainrot” collide into one continuous feed experience.
The Insight
Most generations experienced media sequentially.
They watched television.
They listened to music.
They read magazines.
They browsed websites.
Gen Alpha experiences all of it simultaneously.
Memes.
Gaming.
Fashion.
WhatsApp forwards.
Reels.
AI-generated imagery.
Notifications.
Internet slang.
The internet is no longer a destination. It’s the environment.
The Challenge
Create a music and visual experience that captures how Gen Alpha actually experiences the internet.
Not as a story or a campaign, but as a constant stream of overlapping stimuli, references,
Our Approach
Rather than creating a visually consistent world, we intentionally embraced inconsistency.
The creative direction combined:
- Hyper-editing
- Layered social media interfaces
- Meme aesthetics
- Internet-native humor
- Multilingual communication
- Indian street culture
- AI-generated visual exploration
- Music-led storytelling
The result became less about designing individual visuals and more about crafting a continuous feed experience.
The Creative Process
DELULU was developed as a collision of multiple internet realities.
Throughout the project, visuals shifted rapidly between:
Mood & Emotion
Cinematic portraits and emotionally charged imagery.
Meme Energy
Chaotic, relatable moments inspired by everyday internet behavior.
Indian Digital Culture
Visual references rooted in local language, streets, typography, transportation, and online communities.
Overstimulated Aesthetics
Dense compositions, layered information, and visual overload designed to mirror modern content consumption.
The Outcome
The final piece became a reflection of how younger audiences navigate the digital world.
Ironically, although the project uses Gen Alpha slang, the joke is ultimately on us:
Parents.
Marketers.
Creators.
Brands.
All trying desperately to sound young online.
Which is why the project ends with:
“PLEASE STOP SAYING SLAY.”
Key Takeaway
The biggest lesson from DELULU wasn’t about Gen Alpha slang. It was about cultural understanding.
Brands often try to copy the language of younger audiences. The real opportunity lies in understanding the behaviors, platforms, humor, references, and environments that shape how younger generations communicate.

Project Credits
DELULU was conceived and executed end-to-end by Kamal Bhatnagar, Creative Partner at Beam Me Up. The project originated from a personal observation of Gen Alpha internet culture and evolved into a full-scale music and visual experiment exploring the language, humour, and overstimulated aesthetics of a generation growing up entirely online.
From concept creation and lyrics to AI-powered visual development, creative direction, editing, and post-production, every stage of the project was developed as a culture-first exploration of how younger audiences experience the internet today.
What This Means for Brands
Internet culture evolves faster than traditional marketing frameworks. The brands that stay relevant won’t be the ones that borrow the latest slang. They’ll be the ones that understand how attention, identity, humor, and communication are evolving online.
At Beam Me Up, we help brands decode culture, build modern content ecosystems, and create work that earns attention rather than chases it. Whether it’s thought leadership, social storytelling, AI-powered content production, or culture-led creative campaigns, we help brands stay connected to the conversations shaping tomorrow.
